Mounir Al Serawan: “Art has always been my hope to help this world. Filmmaking, Directing, and Cinematography are my hobbies, passion, education, and life. I had the chance to pursue studying Audio/Visuals at AUST on a full scholarship. I have been in the field of Filmmaking since 2015. In my learning journey, I got 21 technical diplomas - outside the university- in Photography (basics & advanced), Editing, graphic design, filmmaking, public speaking, theatre performing from Zoukak & Minwal, and body language... I was so afraid to open up about my love for dancing classical ballet until I gathered the courage to start practicing and learning classical ballet and contemporary dancing secretly in 2019. I’ve found peace, freedom, and power in dancing. All the people around me attacked me for doing what I love, but art will always be my power to keep me going and stand up to do a change and help others to stand up for themselves. My dad kicked me out of the house because I refused to let go of the ballet training. I lived alone for almost half a year, and I kept going to the dance studio... I acted in theatre performances, dance performances, and short films. Now I’m graduating from the university, but my love for education and knowledge will never end.”
