PARTICIPANTS

Sophie Haj Hassan is a student of Theater at the Lebanese University, an actress, director, and writer in the making and shaping. In 2008 she read her first play “Oedipus the King” while studying English Language and Literature, from there, steps fell behind her as she roamed the vast and complex halls of plays and other literary texts. Apart from her training at university, she has participated in a number of workshops and received training in puppetry and acting.
Sophie Haj Hassan
Julien Chaaya is a theater student in the Lebanese University of Fine Arts. He works as a dubbing director and actor and as a subtitle editor/translator for multiple studios. He used to be a singer in multiple recitals for schools, and performs gigs. At 17, he went to an international exchange program in France in which multiple countries compete with their own plays. He was part of a play that was shown in many schools all over the country for two years called “Habs el Wouroud”. This year, he was part of a play that was shown during Ramadan at Tournesol called “W Osas Okhra”, directed by the graduate Jalal Marwan Al-Shaar. He played in multiple student diplomas like “the Open Couple – Dario Fo”. He was also a part of multiple short movies and series.
Julien Chaaya
Gaelle Al Ayle is in her final year of Theater Studies at the Lebanese Faculty of Fine Arts.
From 2010 until 2015, she was part of a chorus that sang in multiple festivals, like the Baalbeck and Beiteddine. She found her passion for acting when she was in her final year of highschool, after playing the role of Esmerelda in a school adaptation of “Notre Dame de Paris”. Since then, she chose to become a Theatre major, she has played in multiple graduate projects, from plays to short movies, and she has done a childrens’ play and one feature film. Some of the plays in which she acted are “Les justes – Albert Camus” in the role of Dora; “The open couple – Dario Fo” as Antonia; “Petits crimes conjugaux – Eric Emmanuel-Schmitt” as Lisa. She also works as a subtitle editor/translator for multiple studios.
Gaelle Al Ayle
Hanna Yazbeck is a Lebanese writer and poet. His poetry has been published many times in The Poetryhood Magazine and once in Al-Nahar. He is currently working on his debut play “Al Machhad El Akhir”. His writing is daring and unconventional, aiming at deconstructing the status quo. He has pursued studies in both Theater and English Literature at the Lebanese University. He has participated in many senior projects including: Harold Pinter’s “The Lover” as Actor & Assistant Director, Samuel Becket’s “Solo” as Voice Actor. Hanna is also a professional musician with over 10 years of experience. He has taught in a couple local music schools and he is currently the drummer of the band TAXI404.
Hanna Yazbeck
Myriam Saade majored in both Education and Performing Arts and Theatre at USEK (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik). She has been in the field since 2011 and taught for the past 8 years. She has done more than 15 theatre workshops with national and international professionals covering many schools, techniques and practitioners such as Boal (Theatre of the Oppressed), Grotowski (Poor Theatre), Brecht and others. She also had a 3 months internship at the ENSATT (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre) in Lyon as an actor and a scenographer. She took part in several plays as an actor in Lebanon and France (such as “Demoscatos” at Al Madina Theatre and “Astrocytes” at Le Terzieff both directed by Nagy Souraty, “L’affiche” at Sunflower Theatre, “No exit” at the ENSATT). After finishing her BAs, she decided to pursue her Masters in Performing Arts and Drama therapy in order to make use of theatre in the social work. She became passionate about taking part in the healing process of traumatized individuals while using Theatre techniques by giving individuals the possibility to tell their stories, express their feelings, solve problems and achieve catharsis.
Myriam Saade
Kenan Hatem is an actor, writer, director, and musician. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. His first stage appearance was when he was ten years old. He published his first novel in 2019 tiled “Faras Ala Jabal”. He is constantly trying within his projects to be close to the general public, so he writes his plays based on what he sees in the streets to convey the suffering of people in life to the theater or cinema from his point of view. Kenan is interested in psychology and psychoanalysis and always tries to work on community therapy through art.
Kenan Hatem
Asmaa Al Ghrawi is a Syrian/Lebanese Graphic Designer, Visual Artist, Animator, and Visual Storyteller. She holds a BT in Graphic Design and graduated in 2018 with a BA in Graphic Design from the Lebanese International University.
She is currently working on a couple of projects, an art experimental project titled "تخرطش", and her new comic about her journey and struggles with the stutter titled "بلَّشِت التأتأة". 
Asmaa has had difficulties with expressing herself verbally throughout her life but has never had an issue expressing herself with her body. She feels her best when she is on stage performing. She began her stage appearance when she was 14, participating in Islamic dance/plays for religious events, then stopped for academic and career purposes.
For the past 4 years, she has been gradually pursuing her passion/love to become a professional performer, dancer, and entertainer. She finds interest in all types of expressive arts and wants to learn as much as possible.
Asmaa is aiming to do at least 3 performances before she leaves Lebanon, while also putting her design and art skills into good use.
Asmaa Al Ghrawi
Ahmad Masri is a second year Lebanese University student majoring in theater. He plays the guitar, practices martial arts/karate, and loves contemporary dance. He has participated in plays at many different theaters such as Tournesol, Casino Du Liban, and Monnot. He seeks to reach an advanced technical rank across many different fields.

Claris Hanna is a specialized art and theater educator, with a MBA degree in visual communication and a BA degree in Theater, she is pursuing her MBA in actor preparations at the Lebanese University. She has completed workshops in drama therapy, communication arts, method acting training and improvisation technique with “Impro Beirut” and safety education “Protect-ED” by kidproof Safety. She has been an actor for five years and has been a voice over artist. She has been in many short films and TV series. She is the founder of her own “Little Star Academy”, where she works closely with kids through music and performance art Claris is a drama teacher at “La Sagesse School” since 2015 where she developed a specialized program using drama to elaborate their learning and creative skills, critical thinking and self esteem. She wrote and directed many plays staged at “ La Sagesse Theater”/Ashrafieh, starred by her talented students. She is now in the process of writing a new play, adapted from a novel for “ Eric Emmanuel Shmitt”.
Claris Hanna
Nassim L Banna is an organ of thought and time fracture. After four years of college that varied between physics, theater, and philosophy, he drew away from academic life into self-education, risking an uncertified life. Reading, acting, writing, organizing, photography, and VJ’ing is how his time breaks and fractures.

Zainab/Zeina Mokdad is a social/educational researcher. She has a degree in acting and directing. She did a research on the values of Lebanese school theater. Zeinab is an author of children's stories and plays. She has brought the issue of early marriage to the theater in a new way through the play Mamar. In the years to come, she sees herself as an influential writer and theater director in her community.
Her long term goal is to create her own permanent children's theater.
Zainab/Zeina Mokdad
Rachid Hneineh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in television & film and a minor in performing arts from the Lebanese American University. Rachid is currently a scriptwriter and a film, and a theater practitioner. He started his journey in the performing arts field and participated in several performances as a stage manager, assistant director, assistant producer, and actor. Later on, he wrote and directed three independent plays العلم مش حلم، عزيمة لسانات، غشاء that were performed between Saida and Beirut. Afterward, Rachid joined Warshé, an art initiative in his hometown, where he conducted a scriptwriting workshop that lasted for several months. His passion for writing expanded to reach a collaboration with the civil society organizations, he worked as an activist artist for Search for Common Ground and Abaad where he wrote “أتيكيت فلان,” staged in Zahlé and “عود الكبريت” staged in Tripoli and co -wrote "إهتراء" an experimental short film.
